'Gerard and Denise McNicholas' welcome you to The Pilgrims Rest
Nestled in the heart of the glorious Kent countryside sits the Pilgrims Rest Tea Rooms. Originally part of Littlebourne Manor, the conjoined buildings are steeped in over 400 years of history.
The houses have been dressed in many guises throughout the ages – from a butchers and library to the house of the farrier whose forge sat on the site next door. Perhaps most important was its purpose as lodgings for the Archbishop of Canterbury’s steward when he came to survey the houses and land that formed the manor.
Our beautiful timbered tea rooms with the original 16th century low beams are a throwback to days gone by, and contain a bar area and lounge where we hope you will want to linger a while longer.

As a compliment to the tea rooms, a mixture of contemporary design and traditional materials awaits you in our six en suite guest bedroom accommodation. Double and twin rooms are available seven days a week and a full breakfast is served each morning. The tea rooms are open Wednesday to Sunday and we also cater for small functions.
We can be found about four miles south of Canterbury on the A247 Canterbury to Sandwich Road, on the left as you reach the centre of Littlebourne.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Pilgrims Rest soon.
